IBS, Inc. was founded in 1986 by Dan Hardcastle.  Realizing the incredible value Section 125 could have for all employees, Hardcastle established IBS as a communications entity.  The Tax Reform act of 1986 made law Section 125 and now employers, big and small, could reap the significant tax savings.  Initially, most employers were unaware of this new pre-tax benefit program and others failed to move for fear Congress would rescind the code.  IBS became a true promoter of Section 125 plans and over time, more and more employers became equally convinced.  IBS has stayed true to its original tenet and continues to be a premier benefit communications company.  Today, IBS has expanded beyond 125 plans and offers employers a wide array of supplemental, benefit programs.  The focus remains on professional benefit counseling as the foundation of all benefit enrollments.

Dan Hardcastle's academic and professional training was in the field of psychology receiving a Masters degree in the late seventies.  He began his employee benefit career with The Hartford as a group specialist working in a number of their regional offices with NYC his final stop.  With the advent of Section 125, he saw an opportunity to specialize in what he believed to be the next "revolution" in employee benefit planning.  The years have proven him correct as thousands of employers have implemented these programs.  Today he consults insurance professionals, accountants and attorneys helping as many as possible understand the value of all supplemental programs.  Hardcastle is an avid skier, sailor and golfer and can be reached corporately at:
