Employees spend a lifetime working to acquire the better things in life; a home, comfortable retirement, savings.  And yet, all it takes is one health-related event such as a stroke or a bad accident and years of working - and dreaming - can be wiped out.

That's where Long Term Care Insurance protects employees - and their family.  With Long Term Care Insurance they have guaranteed financial security and peace of mind should they or their spouse need extended care.  And that security can even be provided to parents or in-laws.

While everyone prefers to think "It won't happen to me," statistics show that's not true.  For example:
About 25% of all people in the U.S. require some type of long term
care at some point during their lifetime.
Nearly 90% of home health care costs and 98% of nursing home costs
are not covered by health plans or Medicare.
Health care costs are skyrocketing.  Residential nursing home care can
add up to $66,000 or more per year.  Even care in your home can
cost $30,000 or more a year.

Here's How It Works
Long Term Care is needed when an employee is unable to perform activities of daily living (ADL's) such as eating, dressing, toileting, bathing and general mobility.  Their inability to perform two or more of these basic activities may be due to either a medical event or the aging process.  Long Term Care Services may be provided in their own home or in a residential facility, depending on the type of care needed.

Examples of Long Term Care Services include visiting nurses, home health aides, physical therapists, homemaker services and adult day care.

Employees health insurance does not cover these costs.  Medicare does not cover these costs.  Medicaid does not cover these costs until they have exhausted the employees assets and are at the poverty level!  Long Term Care Insurance will cover the costs of these services described above.

Employees work hard for their money.  The don't need to be burdened with the possibility of someday having to spend everything they have worked for on long term care.
